WEARING: FOREVER 21 DRESS | CALL IT SPRING SANDALS
Somewhere along the line of trends and subliminal instagram messages, I've fallen victim to the minimalistic lifestyle and aesthetic. Over a year ago, my go to outfit was a mixture of patterns and a pop of color. While it obviously is normal for people and their taste to change, when I really thought about it, I was longing for pretty floral patterns and graphic tees. Sometimes trends will sneak up on you and into your life almost unnoticed, like your total when you check out at Sephora after an hour of sampling lipsticks and foundation shades. Don't get me wrong, trends are "trends" for a reason, but I also believe in checking in with yourself once in a while and being aware of your true self. One of my present goals is to try to wear more patterns and fun silhouettes, not only for myself, but so I can bring diversity to my blog as well.
I originally had wanted to shoot this dress on our road trip; I imagined the feminine pattern against the vast desert landscape. I didn't get the chance to, but I like the location of our rooftop just as much. It's actually a wrap dress and to my surprise, I was comfortable in it despite the low cut neckline. Even though I've always been confident for the most part in my own skin, lately I feel it even stronger.
On a different note, I really want to start making connections with more of my fellow bloggers and more of my readers. Send me an email through my contact page, and let's make some magic happen.
