WEARING: BLANK NYC VEST (try this one) | AMERICAN APPAREL TURTLE NECK | H&M DENIM
Well guys, I spent a week in Mexico and managed to stay white as a ghost (insert shrugging emoji here). Honestly, I don't think I'd look like myself with a tan, so pale I will stay. Thankfully, though, I found a vest and a wall to match. If you guys follow me on Instagram, you probably saw a few weeks back that I found this *perfect* suede vest by Blank NYC. It was the last one in my size and there was no hesitation to invest in this. I definitely will be wearing this layered with tons of things, but for this look I wanted to keep it all black and white. In general, vests are tricky, but don't worry because I've created a list of tips and tricks for all your vest styling needs :)
1| The first thing I look for is where the hem of the vest falls. Ideally, I like mine to end right at my natural hip/just below (this is flattering to my body shape), or the other extreme which would be long and oversized.
2| Layer. Layer. Layer. Obviously during the summer that's limited, but I think vests look the most stylish when they're layered with something simple or even something more detailed like another collared shirt or a hoodie.
3| Make sure it fits. If it's too tight around your arm, it's going to look awkward and feel even more awkward.
There are millions of ways to wear a vest, these are just some of my personal go to styling tips. Do you guys have any?!
Until next time
