WEARING: Target swimsuit (only left in red!) and cacti shirt (seriously how adorable is this?) | UO shorts, belt, and sunglasses (similar and cooler) | Vintage bolo

Coney Island in the summer time is seriously magical. Michael and I spent the entire day there, half lounging on the beach and half riding rides and eating at the original Nathan's Hot Dogs. I'm realizing now that we barely took one photo together! Also, somehow in over 6 years we have never been on a roller coaster together, so I'd say the 100 year old Cyclone was a good first.

When we first got there, we lounged on the beach for an hour or two and it was pure bliss. It's so hard to get a dose of nature here in the city, and those summer vibes were exactly what we needed for a little pick me up. After that we adventured into the park, played some games, explored like kids, and rode the rides. It was a perfect day of being together and forgetting about reality for a bit.

Oh, I also assumed that my bangs would protect my head from the sun, but it was windy and I was wrong.....so my forehead is now bright red and does not match the rest of my face. Such is life.

I hope that everyone has days like this where it's possible to ungplug, relax, and enjoy the company of the people you love. They're essential! Where do you guys like to go to unwind?!

P.S.

Fun fact about these shorts: They're urban renewal from UO, meaning they're all one of a kind. I got these years ago when I worked there, and my co workers and I would try on every single pair until we found the perfect ones. So worth it.
