If anyone lives in a place where it's always a beach day, you need these swimsuits (and I'm also extremely envious of you). Both are so affordable, so comfortable, and so adorable. If you're like me and tend to buy bathing suits that are more cute than sexy, these are perfect!
On my instagram post, I talked a little bit about how I was teased as a child for the birthmark on my chest. I was lucky enough to exit childhood unscathed by extreme bullying or being made fun of, but that doesn't take away from comments that have stuck with me about some of my *former* insecurities. I understand now that as kids, we act out about things that are new or that we have never seen before, which is probably where the teasing came from when my friends would see the birthmark. You can probably guess what people thought it was or what people called it, and I considered getting it removed a few times but I'm happy that I didn't. In present day, I've learned to love my body the way it is because how could I not? It's taken me to so many places. It's taken me on many great trips, it's taken me to get my education, it's taken me to live in one of the greatest cities in the world, and it's walked me right into an amazing internship, and next month it's going to walk me straight into my damn dream job. Next time you think that your legs are too fat or that your stomach isn't flat enough, think of all the places your body has taken you and realize that you literally wouldn't exist without it.
How do you guys feel about the body positive movement? Leave me a comment and let's talk about it.
