SNOW STORM JONAS : PHOTO DIARY

SNOW STORM JONAS : PHOTO DIARY

Well, us New Yorker's really jinxed ourselves in saying that we were going to skip winter this year. Snow storm Jonas dropped 29 inches of snow here in Brooklyn, and some parts of NYC were covered in over 30 inches. My roommates and I were prepared nonetheless, and took advantage of not being able to leave our humble abode.

We woke up on Saturday and started our day off like any other: with coffee. There's almost nothing better than getting cozy with your BFF; cup of java in hand (insert many coffee emojis here).

After a bit of lounging and getting excited about our day full of, well....nothing - we feasted. Michael made us a dreamy breakfast of fruit covered chocolate chip pancakes. Oh, and of course, more coffee.

Mid-day mojitos: need I say more?

Okay, let's be real. It was a snow day, and we certainly spent time cozied in bed. Michael and I worked on our plans for our road trip we're taking in June (ummmm, so excited).

After getting a bit stir crazy, Sarah, Michael and I ventured out into the storm. It was such an eerie feeling. There were no cars on the road, no sounds of traffic or subways, and everyone was walking in the streets. Other than gusts of wind, our neighborhood was nearly silent. I didn't get any photos while we were out because, well - I was in a blizzard.

The day ended too quickly, but not without a cotton candy sky.
